Thursday night saw Skiddle.com pick up the award for Best Online Business at the glittering Red Rose Awards in Blackpool.
Held at the magnificent Empress Ballroom on Thurs 15th March, the prestigious Red Rose Awards are organised by the Lancashire Business View magazine to recognise and reward the companies, individuals and organisations that have survived and thrived through challenging economic times.
Skiddle.com’s entry for the award focused on the company’s considerable growth in recent years, with an investment in staff, marketing, account management and back end development seeing an increase of 38% in online visitors and a growth of 63% in tickets sold in 2011.
We would like to say a big thank you to all of the customers and promoters that have contributed to our success, and we look forward to continuing growth over the next 12 months.

We would like to welcome onboard the goodship Skiddle two new members in our development team who we like to affectionately call James & Rob.
Well when we say affectionately, that’s their name so that’s what we call them!
It’s fantastic to have two new members of our close knit team and we’re looking forward to many years of watching ideas turn into practice.

Well it’s the 22nd December and Christmas Day is fast approaching. As you can imagine, Skiddle HQ is extremely busy as people make last minute plans for Christmas and New Years Eve.
It’s an absolute pleasure to see that despite the economic downturn the country is currently facing, people still seem to be able to enjoy themselves and events up and down the country are displaying a SOLD OUT sign even earlier than last year.
There is a whole heap of variety out there, so whether it’s dancing off the christmas dinner on boxing day, or seeing in the New Year in a nightclub near you then be sure to check out Skiddle’s guide to the best events designed to make your Weekend Matter.
Whatever you choose to do over the festive period then we hope you enjoy it, stay safe and get chance to spend some quality time with friends and family. After all, partying is fun, but it’s even more fun when you share it with those people that make you smile.
Personally I’ll be having a year off from partying on New Year’s Eve and instead i’ll be in front of the TV with my wife and son, who will be just one month old on New Year’s Day.
Happy Christmas and have a brilliant New Year
